Councillor Toby North
Councillor, St Peter's and Canalside Ward | Chair of Discipline Appeals Committee
Toby works as head of policy, public affairs and communications for a domestic abuse charity, putting pressure on local and national governments to tackle domestic abuse and protect victims. Since moving to the borough in 2015, Toby has led on campaigns to protect our NHS and build more genuinely affordable homes for local people. He is Vice Chair of the Council’s Planning Committee, also sitting on the Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee and the Corporate Resources and Economy Scrutiny Committee. Toby is a member of Unite the Union, a school governor at Winton and Hugh Myddleton Primary Schools. He also represents the Council on the Islington Community Chest Panel.
