Councillor Dr Sara Hyde
Councillor, Caledonian Ward | Executive Member for Health and Social Care
Sara was elected as a councillor for Caledonian ward in 2018, and works in prisons and criminal justice, particularly with women, deaths in custody and arts for rehabilitation; she used to work in theatre. Sara started volunteering in Cally in 2003 as a youth worker. She is a member of All Saints Church, a governor at Blessed Sacrament primary and a trustee of Sophie Hayes Foundation. She chairs the Fabian Society and holds a PhD in impacts of prisoner suicide and self-harm on staff.
In her spare time, Sara enjoys eating and cooking for friends and family.
