Councillor Hannah McHugh
Councillor, St Mary's and St James' Ward | Chair of Homes and Communities Scrutiny Committee
Hannah is a passionate campaigner for equalities in Islington, and a long time activist for the rights of women, migrants and people without a home. As a Councillor, Hannah is the Equalities Champion, chairs the Homes and Communities Scrutiny Committee and sits on the Corporate Resources and Economy Scrutiny Committee. Hannah is also a school governor, and is concerned to ensure Islington secures the best possible outcomes for young people. She is a PhD researcher in Political Theory and also teaches at University College London and the London School of Economics and Political Science. In her spare time, Hannah is a keen marathon runner.
