Ten years on for the murder of our Labour colleague Jo Cox, we remember the profound loss to everyone that knew her and the deeply held values that she championed throughout her life.
Her beliefs remain a force of guidance for everyone that serves in public life, and we are proud to be honouring her memory this weekend with a ‘Great get together ‘ in support of the foundation in her name.
Last month’s local elections sadly showed that many politicians across the country and in our own community continue to face unacceptable abuse. We will keep fighting until everybody, no matter their background, feels safe participating in politics.
Islington Labour are proud to champion dignity and inclusion across our borough. We honour the legacy of Jo Cox by following her values of compassion, co-operation and the belief that we have more in common than that which divides us.
